
Training for climbing isn’t just for the pros or elite climbers. It can be helpful at any level.
What is it?
This is a small group class (8 participants max) that will meet 4 consecutive weeks, instructed by Shakira. Shakira has been climbing for over a decade and has been a coach for Team Scrapyard for the past 2 seasons. She is particularly interested in lowering the barriers to participation and advancement for women and girls in rock climbing and increasing the number of women and girls participating long-term in the sport.
Who is it for?
For women and non-binary folks who have been climbing before and are interested in building skill, strength, and confidence on the wall. This is a step beyond our intro to climbing class and will be valuable for both novice and more advanced climbers who have never done intentional training.
When: Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 from 6:30-8:00pm (Session 1) and 8:00-9:30pm (Session 2)
Cost: FREE for Members / $100 for Non-members
