We’re hosting a big old party and fundraiser to celebrate the completion of our new climbing wall and the expanding local climbing community. And who doesn’t like a big old party.

What is it?

It’s Scrapyard’s version of the Met Gala (get it? Set…Met…), so dress to impress in Scrapyard style. The theme is REPURPOSED (even our posters are repurposed!), so pull together your best repurposed fashion and come climb our new walls or just come mingle with the Scrapyard community.

The Set Gala will feature a silent auction. All proceeds from the silent auction will be used in the Better Together Community Fund.  The Better Together Community Fund is used to help ensure that the cost of a Scrapyard membership will never be a barrier to anyone joining our community.  We are excited about what we’ve done so far with the Better Together Community Fund to keep our membership costs equitable.  As you know, our goal is not to raise our rates for memberships, day passes, or anything else at Scrapyard even though we have substantially increased what it costs to operate the gym with this expansion.  The success (and continued success) of the Better Together Community Fund is one of the ways you can help us meet this goal.

Where: At Scrapyard! We’re expanding into the room next door. (76 S. River Ave, Holland, Michigan)

Cost: $10 for Members / $20 for Non-members

1) Live DJ for Climbing and Dancing

2) A Special Opening Set: The First boulders set for our community on the new wall

3) Repurposed Fashion Contest: Winner will be awarded a Scrapyard Annual Membership (yeah, that’s right… a full year of Scrapyard climbing).

4) A Silent Auction filled with items, events, and opportunities gifted from our Scrapyard community and the west Michigan community in general.
