MARCH 16TH, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 virus, Scrapyard Climbing Collective will be closed Monday, March 16th-April 6th. On Sunday  afternoon, Holland Hospital announced its first case of COVID-19 and the CDC released new recommendations limiting gatherings to 50 people or less. In an effort to aid the public need for social distancing, we have chosen to close as our part in ensuring that this massive disruption will produce the positive public health impact that it is attempting to achieve.

We care very much for our community and know that this is just one of many disruptions in your lives. The growing chorus of professional recommendations along with the number of our peer gyms closing around the country makes it inadvisable for Scrapyard to remain open. We will continue to keep you updated via social media and our email list as things progress.

We will be freezing all memberships and offering a pro-rated credit to our monthly members during this time, so you will not be charged until the gym resumes operation. However, our costs do not go away and we will do all we can to continue paying our staff members during this time. If you are willing to forgo this pro-rated credit and/or keep your membership active through April, you can do so via this COVID-19 Membership Support Opt-In.

Over the coming days we will be sharing information on how you can stay strong and stay connected to our community during this unusual time. We are thankful for your support as always. Stay well.
